I'm still undecided between the B-1 and a PDR HX-40. However since I can't get one right now I will have plenty of time to decide.

Chipstien I am running the B1 and there where a couple unique things that I can tell you about since your deciding between the two. I got Stan's to stock a down spout for it too. Privite email me if you like and I will give you my phone # or I will be at PR this weekend (6-8-02).

Nothing bad, sorry if it came off that way. (Expensive yes. ) The turbo secondary had to be loosened and rotated to line up. The exhaust is a different fitting than the traditional HX40. Its iniatial spool up is slower than my PDR HX35-14 was but that was to be expected as was the real reason for the purchase. With Supermentals the max I see is 1350 degrees and even that is only momentarily. Also if you buy the exhaust fitting you can not put 4" flex 90 and limp it down to the exhaust shop. I did but had to hammer the flex flat to get it to fit in front of the firewall. And like I mentioned earlier I got Stans exhaust to fabricate/stock a down pipe for it. Be sure to buy the clamp for the turbo though as it to is unique to most exhaust shops. You asked for a few things...

Thanks for the info Opie, These are some of the things I take for granted. Everyone must remember these are High bred turbo's and some of them will need little tweaks and special pipes to make them work. I use an HX-40 down pipe and put the B1 flange on it, it is not to bad of a job but not everyone has a welder. I made up a spare that was going to be sent to Jardine but I am not sure the person that was supposed to send it ever did. So it looks like Stans has them now that is cool there stuff fits and looks good.
