What power level is this for? If need to can you put a 18 or 21 housing on it? That should help egt's, right? Can you make 400+ safe HP with this setup? Still wating on gages so i can bomb!:D:--)

Two thimbs up for Piers of PDR!

Paintersdsl, give Piers of PDR a call and discuss your specific needs. Piers is one of the very best in the performance Diesel indusrty (most would call him the best)... he will take care of you! His prices are reasonable and his customer service before, during and after the sale are excellent! If a problem should arrise Piers will make it right with the customer!

I'm very proud to be running a number of his products, including his HX35 Super Turbo. In fact, I have so much faith in his products I spent countless hours grinding, sanding and polishing my new PDR aluminum compressor housing before paying BIG $(waaay more than the cost of the HX35 Super Turbo) to have it chrome plated... ALL before I had ever tested it on my Ram!

Piers just sent out my PDR HX34/14 turbo... . anxiously awaiting its arrival. He did not recommend the 16 housing for my application. Lots of towing, hills and tight converter. He said I would not like the initial lag. The turbo I am getting will drop my EGTs by about 150 degrees. according to Piers. There is a hill that I can climb towing right now at 52mph with O/D off at 1/2 WOT, EGTs @ 1250. This will be the hill I will test his turbo on. Hoping to be able to hit 60mph before I run into the EGT barrier. If I can climb that hill at 60, I'll be real happy.

He told me the PDR HX35/14 will give me better low end than the stock turbo and a much stronger mid and high end. Getting the 3K gov spring kit too.

Koaman, you'll love the 3K kit too! Be sure to mark everything good to take the guesswork out of reassembly and it's not a bad job. I gained 3-4 mph on a hard test hill - egt staying the same1250. I like having the rpm to use 4th and save 5th gear for the highway. Craig

Postman just delivered my turbo an hour ago. :D :D Hope to get it installed by Monday. Gov spring kit was not in box. I'll need to call Piers on Monday to check on it. I'll post EGT and performance results after installation.

Got my PDR HX35/14 installed Sunday evening. Was only able to do limited driving and today is rained out so staying home. This turbo definitely spools up much faster and I see boost hit mid to high 20s very easily. Yesterday, at a GVW of 12500 lbs. and 3/4 WOT from a gentle rolling start, boost went up to 39 and EGT stayed at 1250. Previously I would see 1400 on the pyro and max of 32 boost under these same conditions. Piers was right on the money when he told me 150 degree reduction in EGT and boost will be 38-40. Still need to run my test hill. Will post further results as I drive it more. Pin wheel and housing area is 1/10th of an inch bigger than the stock turbo. Gov spring kit is on the way also... . Piers ran out of seals and did not want to hold up my turbo. :D
