I got my new turbo and manifold installed this weekend. Not too bad of a job, except for the down pipe. I ended up cutting my existing one off and bandclamping the new one to it. It turned out fine but it took an unnecessary trip to the truck stop on Sunday to get a bandclamp (70 miles roundtrip).
I'm still breaking in the new turbo, so I haven't gone above 20 psi boost yet
After I let loose with it, I'll have to report back my thoughts.
First impression though, turbo is louder (sounds great as it builds). Boost does start to build a little later than stock. The EGT seems to cool off faster than stock as well. As soon as I get into a parking stall at work, it's cool enough to shut down when before I had to let it idle for 20 to 30 secs to reach this point.
Has anyone ever overcome the addiction for more power?
