PDR HX40 Efficiency Range?

So how do you lower the max. boost ? mine hit 44# I thought it was too high, do you tighten the set screw on the boost elbow ? thanks Bob

on mine, you loosen (counter clockwise) the screw on the elbow.

Mine is 40lbs right at the intake is that ok or should i back it down a bit I know thats a pretty good amount of fuel through that turbo

I contend that it's fine if you don't abuse it and let off the throttle abruptly at 40psi all the time...

On my turbo since I do not have a boost elbow, I lengthened the wastgate control rod five turns to lower boost.



On my stock HX35, 21 psi at the hat was equal to 26 psi at the turbo.



The HX40 has the pressure drop as previously stated.



As boost pressure and engine RPM rise this pressure drop (head loss) rises in exponentially.

45psi is ok.

I wouldnt push it above that though.



The PDR 40 is a tough cookie.
