I'm going to try to make it up to visit you guys North of the border. What kind of dyno have you got? If it's a Dynojet what weight drums are you running?

Bob

Well, I scheduled 2 weeks vacation today with the Dyno day right in the middle. Talked to the wife last night and asked her if she would like to go to BC and she said sure. THEN I told her about the get together!:D

We are going to try to get up there for this! Would be great to finally meet some of you folks up north.

Now I guess I'll have to get some of the stuff done on the truck that I've put off for a while.

Cummins Power Tour brewing????

Sept works real good and sounds like a great time - Look forward to it Mark!

I'll second Stan's remarks - now I gotta bomb it just a bit more.

A thought: Any other CA, OR, WA rig runners want to form up a Cummins Power Tour up the Pacific Coast? Anyone interested chime in and we can put together our own Power Tour. Start in LA, end at PDR, hook up with other TDR'rs along the way. Any takers?

Sam,

Any idea when you would be headed up? We will leave a week before and will take our time going up. At least thats the plan at this time.

Stan

Power Tour

Hi Stan -

We're planning to roll out of here on the 24th, take two easy days and enjoy the scenery, etc and get there a day early to stop by the shop and have some free, no pressure time. Probably leave on 28th and back here by 29th.

Should be fun - couple guys here want to go, and we're discovering more in this area all the time.

Bob,

I would like to take a look at your NV4500 rowing machine in your truck. One of these days I will probably bite the bullet and get rid of the growly.

SamsRams,

There are quite a few guys coming from the North West. You may want to check out the North West Bombers site.

No problem - my rear transmission mount is "unique" - it allows for a straight run from the down pipe back to the pipe going over the rear axle. Once you go to the NV4500HD you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

I want to make this one and think that I can. I just need to work out the logistics. I will probably spend Fri and Sat with my son in North Seattle. From there it is just over 100 miles up to Piers.

Bob

Hey Mark,

I am already chompin at the bit to get up there and dyno.

I am headed to Oregon next month for another sled pull :D

I got bit hard by that bug!

I found a first gen to buy the wife, a 93 LE reg cab 4x4 auto. As soon as I get the transmission made right I will be hitting you up for some help in the power dept.

I love having a wife who wants a sled pullin diesel!!!:D :--)

Bob,

Its not a Mustang or a Dynojet. Its a Dyno Dynamics twin retarder. Best dyno I have seen.

Hoss,

Sounds good. Bring her up and we'll turn it up.

Bob, guys.....

I have seen this dyno run... . it's great. The system virtually guarantee's zero slippage and any loses resulting from slipping.

The harder you run against it, the tighter it holds you down...

Bob.

As i am in Korea and my pickup is in Oregon i would really like to see alot of pictures from this get together. I plan on seeing everyone up at Piers when i get back to the states and start driving up to Alaska. I will be in Anchorage for the next three years and i plan on making some trips to Piers to see the GODS.

Chris

Been trying to get everything together for this trip. We are leaving the 20th, will be on a 2 week, much needed , vacation.

Hey Bush, do we still get the 10 HP bonus? I suspect I'll need that along with a lot more to be able to play around with you guys with the BIG HP numbers for the first gens.

I now have a modified air intake line from the Old Smokey BHAF filter to the turbo. Is a 4" straight run of Aluminum tubing with a couple of 45 degree elbows. Looks pretty good. Makes a lot more turbo whine now. In fact, I'm thinking of putting the ring back in the new PDR HX35 until we get up there so the wife and dog won't have to listen to it. I still have a problem hearing it with the hearing loss but its getting there! My son drove it yesterday and impressed how fast the boost came up. Crusing along about 55, floor it, and the boost is at 26 PSI or so in about 1 second! Don't blink if watching the gauge cause you will miss it. It is real quick on the draw.

I still need some more top end but think I'll wait until I see what the numbers are before fooling with the pump any more.

This is going to be a blast!!Oo. :D

Stan, Stan, Stan..... do you REALLY think you're gonna get to leave before we do some tweaking on you're poor ole truck>>>???

:D:D... NOT !!!... :D:D

From all the indications, it does sound like it's going to be one heck of a day/night/day... after that you're all on your own... . ;)

The single goal for the entire thing is..... JUST HAVE FUN... :D as a matter of fact, that's an order... :D

Yes you get to keep your 10HP bonus... . unless you refuse to open up your hood... . then... . well, it ain't gonna be pretty ;)

Pastor Bob.

hey Stan... "MORE SPEED" Eh... you old codger. . you better slow down so there won't be a vacuum on I-5 for us slow drivers to get sucked past the CHP to fast LOL

Stan,

You planning on stopping by my place on the way?

We will be having a group (mostly NWBombers) at the house from early Friday thru Sunday and maybe later.

A few people have projects planned for Friday afternoon and on Sunday so we should have a good time :D

Hoss

Gary,

Doyou really think my old truck is capable of going faster than the speed limit?:D I'll try to keep it slow so no tickets. Heck, I just hope it makes it all the way up there with no problems. Don't think you will have much problem with the vacuum, just means less drag for that fast truck of yours.

Hoss, We are leaving this Saturday headed up. Will take our time and enjoy the scenery. If we come by on the way up it will probably be Wednesday and then it depends on the time of day as I know you are working. I want to get to Piers on Thursday and try to sneek on the dyno a little early to make sure I don't embarrass myself too much with the low numbers. If too low, maybe I can get the Master or the Pastor to tweek it a little more!:D :) Just don't want to put the pump in jepardy with too much pressure.
