Mark, this may have been asked before, but is there a max hp limit with the blower? I mean will it eventually choke the motor, or isn't this a concern?

Back from holidays again! Yes, this setup would have a hp limit due to the size of the bypass choking off the volume of boost from the turbo or turbo's. As mentioned, this setup doesn't make any more peak power then a turbo only setup but has double the power down low and instant throttle responce.

Ok-made it through all the pages. Any new progress? Anyone else try this? I think this setup would boost the mileage since the air fuel ratio got a big kick in the pants, cause down low and cruising, the turbo isn't building much boost. Then team it with a bypass of some sort so the boost from the turbo(or 2) could bypass the SC and not be restricted, and I think that the top end will scream like normal for twins or whatever the turbo setup will push.

Sooo, Mark. Does that mean I can have the given up on, not used anymore, no interest in it, prototype? ;) :-laf

You said you had two setups running right? Can you post before and after dyno graphs showing specifically where the power was better with the SC? I know that you're running a whipple, but what bout the detroit SC's? How much less efficient are they as they are gonna be what my budget affords whenever I can start an endeavor in this direction.

Never pursued it any further. Would make a awesome towing system, specially for a std trans truck.

Some guys have made the turbo blower set-up work in Mustangs. A friend of mine is looking at getting a set up that puts a little over 1000HP to the wheels... I don't see why it can't be made to work extremely well on CTD. Just needs more R&D.

Please don't give up. If you have to, then give or sell the data and equipment to someone who can furhter the effort!!

those graphes look real nice. . not sure how the mpg was though. . I have been thinking of a m90 eaton with a hy35 6cm housing blowing into it in my vw TDI hehe

if I had a m62 sure . . but I already have a m90 so..... also a friend runs a m90 on his vw rabbit gasser so he does real well with it too... seems to work well

Thanks

Deo

... a blower system like that would be great in the higher elevations like Colorado on... say... a nice 1st gen like mine... . hmmmmm..... (insert evil grin!)
