The HRVP44 is on the must have list. I 2nd dayed the pump so we could see what it would put on the dyno at Kansas City Dyno event. I put 502. 1hp and 900. 6tq down with the stock vp, after installing the HRVP44 I took it for a short drive and could'nt really feel the HP. We redynoed and the first run was 529. 3hp and 933. 3tq five min. later I put down 538. 3 and 941. 0tq. After driving five hours home I could feel more hp. I'm going to redyno to put numbers down to see if I'm crazy or not. I do no that the truck idels at 900 to 950rpm, egts are down on regular driving (not to the floor). Less smoke on lower rpm/lower boost than before (between 1500/1800 rpm's)(0/10lb boost) , Feels to have more power at those readings also. I pulled a 25ft gooseneck with a grand am(side job) on a 55mph road and egts were between 800 and 1000, it used to stay 950 to 1150. Over all I really love this pump! May be there will be bigger numbers at Terre Haute for me I aso put 494. 7hp and 911. 9tq out with the box turned off.

PM me with the price tag on one of those. I am still lining up my ducks in case the dealer voids me tomorrow.

Have you heard what kind of results the hot rod ETC users are getting? Wondering if there is more or less rwhp from the automatic pump.

Are there any problems with the ECM by switching a ETH with a ETC pump?

Uhhhhh... Replacing an HO injection pump with a SO will GAIN 20 - 30 HP?

Yeah sticks,

Christian is right.

The ETC (ie 235hp,215hp) injection pump flows more volume of fuel over the ETH (245hp HO) pump.

The Hot Rod Vp44's will out fuel either stock HO or stock ETC standard output pump.

I don't mean to get off the subject here, but where is the HO getting the power at? It has a lower volume injection pump, and according to everything else that I have read here, smaller injectors. The only thing it has that's bigger is the turbo.

This leaves the Cam and computer programing, unless it is a completely different block with a longer stroke.

So one could theoretically take a HO (ETH) truck, replace the VP and injectors with the SO (ETC) pump and injectors and come out of the garage with what,... 300hp?

I didnt realize this, I thought they both had the HX35W unless it was an Auto in which it had an HY359cm. In that case, what size turbo does the HO have? The only thing it has that's bigger is the turbo.

Cam and turbo is the same (as the SO non-auto in 01-02). Computer programming changes the power from the HO to the SO, as the HO has an internally smaller pump and smaller injectors. However, there are other things in the pump other than the "size" that make it do what it does.

We tried the HO --> SO thing back in 2001 and it didn't work. Not sure why they would be now. The ECM had to match the PCM and the FCM, and putting a SO pump on a HO engine obviously won't.
