Yes, thats right! I changed my injectors two nights ago and now my truck has less smoke, is quieter, smoother running, and egts are aboout the same but it does cool down faster. The injectors I had were Dr. Performance 6 hole "twister" series installed about 65,000 miles ago. From what I know now I believe they were just stockers supposedly extrude honed. They are obviously very dirty? worn out? I don't know, but it sure does spool up quicker and cleaner.

All the talk about how bad PODs smoke, (and I'm at 5300 ft) had me kinda worried. I don't think they are too bad at all. But now I wish I had done this mod a long time ago.

I do know after I turned up the fuel screw on my pump a few months ago, the egts would take a lot longer to come down before shutting off the truck. I must have got some metal shavings or something else let loose and possibly got stuck in the injectors. Now I can pull into the driveway and shut it off almost immediately, it cools down so much faster.

Oh yeah, I ran it on the dyno today (same place) and showed I picked up 60 hp from the injectors and 40 hp from my water/methonal (winter washer fluid) injection system.

I am also happy to say this is the third PDR product I've purchased that performed as advertised.

Guess I need to update my sig. one of these days. :D

I gained 4-5 lbs of boost from the injectors and about 4 more from the water/meth.

I will either sell the injectors or send them off to get built into EDMs. I have not decided yet.

My POD's didn't begin to smoke untill I had several thousand miles of operation on them. There was almost zero smoke immediately after the install. The pump setting did not change when the new nozzles were installed.

Prior to the addition of the POD's the pump was tweaked and could only notice a grey haze at WOT.

Now, with the addition of the POD's I can cause the vehicle behind me to dissapear from view and it smokes considerably @ idle with transmission in gear. Turn on the a/c and motorists most generally keep their distance.

I'd say give 'em time. You'll probably notice an improvement in smoke @ idle.

Mine smoke pretty good too I don't mind it when I am on the throttle. But when I'm sitting at a stop light and it is smoking I could do without. I've had people pull up to me to tell me my truck was smoking before. If they are on my right, I just say yeah I know it and stomp it to show them what real smoke is. I've done this 2 times now both to Furd owners. What a blast.

I haven't done any adjustments to the fuel screw Yet. ;)

Good job

Hey you better update you sig. I am glad everything worked out for you. So what did the dyno sheet say? 323+60=383. is this right? 323+60=383+40=423 correct me if I am wrong. Those are nice numbers. What were you seeing for your torque?

That is one FINE 1st gen. glhs!

here's his numbers from Saturdee:

GLHS 1992 DODGE W250 5 SPEED-CERAM 424hp 924tq

it was a good friend with a '91 that made up my mind to buy a CTD, I still have that infatuation with the 1st gens.

Actually these are the official numbers for the team-competition purposes. He might have made better numbers on another run.

My dyno sheet says;

#2 only; 388 hp 888 trq

w/washer fluid; 425 hp 945 trq I only had the water/meth on the first stage.

Top speed 116 mph (confirmed somewhere) and I have not installed my governor spring kit yet. :D

The defueling/power drops off @106 mph.

Don't be fooled by my dyno numbers as I know there was a crrection factor involved. I'm still tring to figure out how much of one was calculated. But I do show a 100 hp improvment over last tme.

I'm going to try to take it to Bandimere Wed. night and see if I can get this ol truck into the 14s. I have run my G-tech and it looks promising. From earlier track tests I can confirm that my G- tech is almost dead on. Usually when I go to the track I can run about 1/10 of a sec. faster but about 2 mph slower.

With only one run and three passengers I did a 15. 5 @ 94. 0-60 was 7 sec flat.
