After two years and almost 50,000 miles, my Mallory 5100FI frame-mounted transfer pump signaled me that it had seen enough service by violently spewing Diesel fuel from its inner seals into the electric motor. Having heard good news from Bigsaint about Product Engineering's pumps, I decided to try one. The PE4200 is just what fits the truck's appetite. It's as big as you can go without having the need for an external regulator. Power seems to be improved and also seems to be smoother than it was before. Just looking at the pump, you can see and feel the quality without it having to weigh 10 pounds. http://www.producteng.com/PE_4300.htm

I recommend this pump to anyone who's been going through the electric transfer pump blues.

I just had the same sort of failure with my Aeromotive streetrod pump. It had been leaking at the housing seal, and I sure believe the fuel spewed onto the motor and shorted it out.

I was sent info about that PE 4200. It sure looks like a nice pump, but I'm waiting to see what Areo say about mine.
