Be carefull. Your overhead console will BS you alot once you start turning up the power.
You can really fool people that haven't ridden in your truck before,, LOOK 25MPG at 80MPH. Shuu---re
I have a PE COMP,, Nice setup, but I also have DD1's. You won't believe how much power that COMP has. it'll leave the PE Pulse in the dust. Remember the COMP is 120HP.
You need gauges,, otherwise ya won't know when EGT is high.
Empty with my DD1's and my Comp on 5x5 I can't really hurt my motor before I start getting into triple digit speeds, or break something else.
Towing a load is a COMPLETELY different story. Just to see what kind of EGT I COULD get out of my truck, I put my Comp on 5x5 at a stopsign and with a 20,000 pound Gooseneck in tow. I was scared to go WOT in 1st and 2nd I used 1/2 throttle, then in 3rd gear I went WOT and hit an easy 1500* then shifted to 4th and went WOT,, There went the pyro,, It was moving much faster then my tach, and speedo,, around it twisted, it went easily past 1600*,, Feeling lucky I stayed in it, WOT,,Watched that pyro keep twisting,, By the time I let out, the needle was pointing Straight down, if not a little backwards.
I guess an EASY 1800*.
Anybody recall what aluminum pistons melt at ????
With my Comp on 3x5 it stays cool enough, even with sustained WOT.
Get gauges, especially if your making your VP44 pump 120HP worth of extra fuel,, What happens if your lift pump dies at WOT but is fine at Idle? Or Vice versa? Mine did that,, bad at idle, but did good when on it.

P. S. Nice to have you on-board the TDR
