Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) pedal problem

Hey guyz, I have a friend with a 2001 dodge Cummins, he is having a issue with the fuel pedal, it will just drop to the floor, sometimes it sticks wide open sometimes it doesn't do anything?? Does any of this sound familiar? Thanks a lot! Jim

Do you mean the pedal physically just falls to the floor with no pressure? Or is it that the engine sometimes doesn't respond to pedal position? If it's the second one, I'm guessing something with the pedal position sensor (APPS?).

Yea the pedal just falls to the floor sometimes sticks wide open, sometimes doesnt?? Thanks Jim

I'm having same problem with otherwise stock clutch - untouched for the last 30K (at least).
