2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission peeling plastic

Guys, need your advice on which adhesive to get. My plastic molding piece is peeling off on the tail gate (outside bottom part). I can see some hardened pieces of glue the dealer used to put it together.



Any suggestions?

Well most guys take that plastic off myself included but for your question on which adhesive... use a 3M brand two sided tape and make sure it sits where the sun can hit if for awhile before you drive off. Hope this helps, Chris

I agree 3M is the best, if it is cool out side and you are trying to get it stick use heat but you can also use heat to remove also, clean the paint well with 99% alcohol.

I appreciate your input. I was afraid to take that plastic off as it could have peeled the paint off as well.



I will try your two-sided 3M tape suggestion.
