Stay on the road that parallels the international border and turn right at the bottom of the big hill. It'll say"Las Playas". head west until you hit the first toll booth. On your right is a AM-PM station with diesel and anything else you might need except for a quick return trip. You can turn around and head back from there. Follow the signs back that say San Diego. Typically, you'll be a nervous wreck by the time you hit the border. Mid-morning works for return trip. There's plenty of stations in TJ,but I get hopelessly lost everytime I deter from the same route.Bajabob, there is no way that the Mexican citizens can aford $5. 00 a Gal. never...
By the way, is the station you're talking about in TJ or after the big hill on the road to Rosarito? At the bottom of the big hill, on the left side, there is a station - but the last time I was there - there was no diesel there. About how far from the border is the station you're talking about (in miles)?
