Taking your whimpy stock governer springs out and putting Pier's springs in. I would never believe a truck like mine with 172k could run this good. I thought the TST#6 was nice, these springs are the icing on the cake. Smooth power and totally drivable. No more gaps in 2nd to 3rd just as advertised. Cant say enough about em. Cant wait to pull my TT with em. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Goodie Goodie Goodie

Mine are on the way, along with the SouthBend Con OFE. I need the clutch already, I can't imagine the stock clutch handleing the #10 plate and the Governor Spring Kit.

Got my pencil maget ready and waiting. :D Oo.

How long did it take you to install them? I have mine, and Hoping to have Matt :D (Hi Matt) help me install 3/16 time and weather permitting.

Two hours at most. Time well spent. Believe me. Takes longer to get the other stuff out of the way than to change the springs. Good luck;)

Who, me?!

Yeah, I'll help anyone who needs to have their GSK installed or any other parts for that matter... . except for the valve springs for you 4krpm dudes/dudettes..... :D

Hey, wait for me! I've got mine laying on the table and it raining outside. I just put up another post (thanks Matt for answering) cause I'm trying to figure out how to turn the engine over to line up the spring in the opening per Piers instructions (instruction #11). I don't have a barring tool. I thought I'd try to get this all making sense to me before I started tearing things apart. I'm about to wet my pants wanting to get 'em in.

It was mentioned in the other thread, but I'll say it here too...

I used a big socket and 1/2" drive ratchet on my alternator... . spinning it counterclockwise to turn over the engine... . no problems with the alternator nut coming loose yet... .

Clockwise just spins the alternator and not the whole mess, as it takes the slack off the tensioner and nothing happens... .

HTH,

Matt
