I just towed a trailer with my 2016 3500 yesterday. I have about 65,000 miles on it. Today when I started the truck a "Perform Service" message appeared on the dash display. I have never seen this message before, does anyone know what it is? This is not the message I get when I need to change oil or the fuel filters. Any help would be appreciated.

I just had my dealer do the 67500 mile service. What a fiasco!

They claim they followed the requirements as per RAM.

First, they changed the oil and filter even though it was not due for months yet. I pointed it out that the truck tells me when to do it. Why didn’t they look at what the truck indicated. They said an oil change and filter is part of the 67500 service. $185.

They then reset the warning.

They did not replace the CCV filter.

Not going back to that dealer. Now my 2 nearest dealers are on my “incompetent” list.

The truck is telling you that the Crankcase breather filter is due to be changed. I'd find another dealer as the one you are using is clueless.

If you own any hand tools, and have used them before you can change out that CCV Filter in no time yourself. Screw the Dealer.
I changed mine at around 68k and it didn't even look dirty. Go to Geno's garage online, and order one.
This forum has the procedures to do most all maintenance on these trucks, and will literally save you hundreds of $$$.

I did my own 67.5 service. Screw that dealer stuff. Too $$$ for me. It's VERY easy to do with the kit from Genos and after watching Motor City Mechanic compete one step by step in a shop.
