my 2000 quadcab is stock and I would like to turn it up a little?without hurting my auto trans any ideas I don't pull any trailers. I would just like to get from 0-60 faster.

How much faster are you wanting it?

The EZ, VA, PowerPuck are good starts, mild fueling boxes with some timing. Much more then that and you'll have to pay a lil attention to the transmission, valvebody that turns up the line pressure would help. I ran about 290hp through the transmission with only a shift kit for 15,000 miles with no problems. Now I have a tad bit more power, so I did a torque converter & valve body swap.

Dunno what my 0 to 60 is but I can get to 79. 90 in 8. 519 seconds according to most of my time slips (thats my 1/8th mile time and speed).

How about a 3 second reduction?

I manage 0 to 60 in under 9 seconds easily with my

slower shifting, slower off the line 5 speed. All

I have is a Power Edge 3 light box and boost elbow

as well as a set of boost and pyro gages. I have

a G-Tech Pro and with the box turned off my 0 to

60 is about 12 seconds, with it on 3 (max) I have

seen between 8. 5 and 8. 8 seconds. I start out in

second gear, and blip the throttle a few times to

get the boost up a bit just before launching. I'm

sure an automatic would be a second quicker than

that. Nice thing about the 3 light PE vs the Edge

is the power settings, OFF, LOW/MED/HIGH. I use

the lowest setting while towing to save my clutch.

My 0-60 was 7. 5 with comp on 5/2 and 8. 54 (3/2). Do a search on the different fueling boxes etc. There's more than enough info for you to make a decision that will fit specific needs. There's also a thread by Ted Jannetty on the proper upgrading of the ISB. Just remember that once you start, it's addictive.

ididn't suggest a fueling box becuase he said he didn't want to hurt his auto. but if you want a fueling box the comp is the only way to go.

Just to give you another angle, with the mods listed below, 0-60 is 7. 4 seconds with fueling box off (EZ "TTPM" on setting 2), and is 6. 1 seconds with fueling box (FMS) on maximum settings.
