performance enhancement for a '91

Friend of mine has a '91 auto reg cab LB. He was asking me the other day what he could add to make more power. He's looking at bolt on power, nothing too serious. Already has Banks exaust (not sure which one) and a pacbrake. The truck has 190k+ on it and he doesn't want to do much that'll jeopordize his transmission. I said the weight he pulls and the high mileage, he's walking on eggshells already. Just thought I'd ask you 1st gen'rs what your thoughts were. Thanks in advance. He was a TDR member long ago.

Air filter, turn the pump up, turbo housing. He could spend $300 and put in better injectors.



If he turns the pump up, be ready to rebuild if it hasn't already been done. Mine went about 150K and then I turned it up and had it fail in a short time. That rebuild ended up costing me about $2000 before it was all said and done. Oh yea, the transmission had to be rebuilt also. The power is lots of fun but it will cost in the long run to get there.
