I installed the Superchips program and it was great for awhile, then gradually it seems the performance has fallen away to some degree. Is this because the PRAM is compensating for something and recalibrating as it goes or how does it work for sure? The key words being "for sure". Please don't post to this if you don't know "for sure". I need absolutely positive input, I'm not much for guessing at things. Thanks... .

I seem to have the same problem... Just with my truck sometimes it runs real strong and other times its more of a dog. . I think its my "new" in january, lift pump is goin south already. .

I would get a boost elbow on it first if you don't have one, then I would pull and clean the IAT sensor, and last I would replace your Map sensor. It sounds like the same thing my Hypertech did and I did the previous things in that order and not only got my truch running better but my mileage went up 3-4 MPG. Hope this helps, Chris

Yep,all that's done, new grid heaters,IAT,MAP sensor,BHAF,4" straightpipe,Bosch 300's,Superchips 3 stage tuner. I got it fixed per the code 380,382 post. Thanks for the ideas,I knew I was in the neighborhood!

I changed the map sensors and iat sensors when i had it in mine. My truck didn't like the supersize 70hp gain, it did better on performance tow. I personally think it is the conflict of the electronics and factory software conflicting with everything. I've been chasing this problem before and after superchips.

Make double sure you've cleaned the ground in question,it's not easy to see or get to! Another extremely pleasant result of this is that my normally sluggish overhead fuel mileage calculator now reads rather quickly instead of about every 10 miles,it does it almost instantly according to how I drive. Also, instead of 20-21 mpg it's getting in the high 26 range! There are alot of grounds on that truck, make sure you get to that one or your IAT will not tell the ECM what the injection pump needs and when.
