Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) performance overide switch

this may be one of those really dum ? but what is the performance overide switch and what does it do? is it the same as a tst magic switch not that I know what that is either. Thanks Rod

Dunno what the TST one is, But a Valet switch is basically a valve (either manual or electric) That cuts off the boost signal to the afc and does not allow the afc arm to move out of the way. This in turn does not allow full power because the govenor arm will not make contact the plate.
