You guys are all talking about our trucks getting poorer mileage in the winter time. I wonder why. I always thought an engine ran better with cool air. Someone posted something about maybe it is the winter blend of fuel?? Any answers???
Yes, fuel has something to do with it, for those of you unlucky enough to need winter mix. A lot more idling to keep the heater going when you go in the store, doesn't help either.
I've seen my mileage drop also. I think we have the winter mix in Dallas. I am now averaging around 18mpg, I usually get around 19. 5 during the spring/summer/fall.
My brother also saw a similar drop in his mileage.
