I think Diamond is about as good as it gets in Reno. I've been in there once looking for a shutoff solenoid boot. They gave me one. Very nice guys. PM member TJSHOTROD. He has been around the Reno shops and has a few stories that you might want to know about. There are only about 4 in town. There is one supposedly really good shop in the Sacramento area, but the name escapes me. Anyone?

Imler Diesel. Ken's work is awesome, but be prepared to schedule your appointment 1-2 months in advance.

Hi Bill

It depends on what your looking for? If you are just buying easy bolt on stuff I was use a friend of mine shop called AP diesel. If you are looking for a diesel mechanic then I go to JH performance in Redding Ca. I have dealt with every diesel shop in town and I will not go back to any of them. The guys at Diamond Diesel are good but they are not a repair shop.

Injectors are pretty easy I could help you do that it should only take about a hour.

I buy all of my parts at Diamond Diesel, then I run them down to Carson Dodge. No one else ( a shop ) has or will work on my $$$ truck. They are a clean, smart shop. The buck stops there!! Mark

Spooky - Just today I was thinking of getting my valves adjusted in my 99 sometime soon - then I see this thread. TDR has always been good for info, but now you are reading my mind... :--)

I had them do some work on my truck years ago, before John was there... you're right, they are a good shop, probably even better now than then.
