Lockers for pulling

How about a Turboanomalizer??

Got a great idea for the L. P guys. A new product called "FormaLiftPump" Just squeeze a tube into the tank and it will form a lift pump as you drive!

No but really Permatex has Formagasket COPPER for high heat apps. Could you use it in conjunction with the V~Band on the HX40? It sounds dump but I really am curious as I have just a few tiny leaks left when the 4"remote exhaust brake creates when activated. They look to be small enough that when the foram copper cures it could hold.

Just thinking tiz all.

TMTT,

Even tho that stuff is high temp, it isn't that high temp. What you need for your turbo inlet and exhaust is a copper crush gasket. Heck, even a thick piece of soft aluminum or copper would work as a gasket. What is the diameter of your inlet and exhaust? Give me two measurements, one is the outside diameter and the other will be the inside. I'll see if I can scrounge up a crush for you. Don't guarantee anything but I'll see.

Bill,

Ever try to find finer stove pipe or ANY stove pipe in mid FLORIDA? We use stove pipe as drain water pipe to try to get some of this gosh dang water out of our places. And we now have a TS floating around. A friend of mine uses a canoe to get to his house, parks the car up on soggy dry land.

lol

I ordered a second exhaust brake gasket from US Gear when I got the D-Celerator. Works very well.

At a place I used to work at. We used the copper permatex to seal band clamps on diesel exhaust systems. It isn't good for close to the turbo. I think the temps it can handle is around 600 degrees or so.

When I visited my dad last Christmas in Melbourne, the thing I noticed was when I drove up an overpass I felt like I was on top of the world. I didn't think there were any high spots to park a car during a flood. ;)

That 345' is iron mountain at Bok tower in Lake Wales, about 5 miles from where I live. You lose that 345' in a hurry though.

If you buy land in FL you ask the local well drilling company "how thick is the sand layer". The thicker the better. Water will perk through this sand in a HURRY!

The area from Frostproof to Haines City was the old sand dune backbone of FL in prehistoric times and the sand is several hundred feet thick. The area is called the "Ridge".

Geography lesson for the day, lol.

WDaniels,

This is for the Downpipe connection on a HX40. That 4" direct exhaust elbo's V band has alot left to desire in terms of holding true and is lackluster in the leak dept. Is there ... ... wait a tick do you mean make a crush ring of sorts to go between the Downpipe and 4"outlet?

If the 4" down pipe is the back of the turbo, sure, why not? Any place that there is a "v" band clamp holding two pieces of large diameter piping together, a gasket is ideal. As the v band pulls the two together the soft gasket will fill any irregularities to form an air tight seal. To help the v band, get some anti seize and put it on the sides of the v band on the inside. This will help it slide easier when pulling the two together thus ensuring a better, tighter wet torque seal. If you can't find a good high temp(1500 F or more) anti-seize, you can use Phillips Milk of Magnesia. We use to use it on the turbine section of C-130 aircraft. It'll also help when you go to take the clamp off again. You can use the Phillips on any hot section part. It is especially good on exhaust manifold bolts.

Hope this helps.

well just march on down to your.....

NAPA auto parts store and pick up ome "exhaust gasket sealer" (Goey white pastey stuff) and smear some on the pesky leaky surfaces. It has worked an ever application I tried it on.

WDaniels has the best long term solution however. IMO
