Never had a pet pot belly pig, but it sure looks like it has a BIG personality! Great pics!

Friend has a potbelly, saved him out of a farmers market. He does have a big personality, and he’s getting bigger! Very strange having in the house.

No, she loves bacon That is her name, "Bacon Bits" we call her "Bitsy" They will do anything for food so she gets to beg at the table for treats, you just have to cut back her meal size based on how many treats she gets. They can become obese really easy, so a diet is a must. They can get really big which is ok, just not fat.

How clean are they as indoor pets?

It depends on their environment and how they are raised. If they have a mud hole they will use it. We use kiddie pools but they tend to trash them so they can spill the water. When they are small you can give them a bath but they quickly become too heavy to lift. When ours get dusty they get a wet wipe down and wash their face with a wet paper towel. They need to be outside as much as possible for healthy exercise, weather permitting. We have had both, outdoor totally or indoor sometimes. As they grow they become more and more outdoor and just come in for company/socializing/ and to spoil.

Nick, from what I can tell looking at the pics and written here, Bitsy is very spoiled, part of the family and a "Little Rascal". Hope you enjoy her for many years to come.

:-laf When they first become popular in the '80's, I was like, who in their right mind would want a pig for a pet Then a friend of ours with a petting zoo gave us one and the rest is history.

Last night at the dinner table "Bitsy" gave me the side eye, cracked me up! I was like "Dude" what did I do? Sometimes we will ignore her, knowing what is going to happen. She will go back and forth between us looking for a hand out, if nothing works then she will stand up, then you gotta give her a treat.

Nick, as I've mentioned before Bitsy is SPOILED and it is great to see how she is part of the family. I think it is safe to say that as she watched you build the shelter she knew it was for her and figured out all the features before even going inside! Smart little critters! If you happen to get any pictures of Bitsy hanging out in there out of the rain & snow it would be fun too see!
