SAMMIE! Sammie knows what is GOIN'ON! Big time!

Oh you know it! When I call Sammieee!!, she comes on the run, because she knows I have Animal Crackers in my pocket. Bitsy comes at a fast walk if I tell her to hurry:D
Bitsy is an adult, so she is slow but Sammie is a teenager, so she still trots or runs everywhere.

Typical breakfast is Peaches, apples, prunes, frosted mini wheats, Ritz crackers, pig chow and a few dog crunchies. Note the serving size, about the same. For supper about the same with some greens and carrots tossed in. Treats are fig cookies, prunes or crackers. For lunch all they get is some fruit. Bitsy is about 150# and Sammie is about 40#. Sammie runs hers all off, and Bitsy sleeps all day. I usually give them a little alfalfa and a handfull of rolled corn for them to graze on. The red heeler (Gypsy) is buddy's with them and keeps an eye on them while they are free range.

Their breakfast looks good! Healthy too.

Poor Dog looks so sad

She is such a good dog, the best we have ever had. Highly intelligent/alert, very sensitive and actually gets embarrassed/self-conscious. If we give her too much praise she will yawn and stretch, or leave:) It is a crack up to watch her respond to different attention signals.

She is like a Coyote in a lot of ways. She trots sideways just like one. She is also very attuned, anything she don't understand or something she has not seen or recognizes is subject to unease.

Heelers are great dogs! I've had a few and they are definitely unique. Seeing yours makes me want to get another one. Many people don't understand their ways...

I say the dog just got done giving some side eye to the pig and is now worrying that a sudden move by said pig could send it's furry arse into the coffee table...which leads to the dog wondering if the treat is even worth the risk.....:D:D

I just gave the Heeler a animal cracker then offered her a fig cookie, she spit out the cracker, when I didn't let her have it she picked up the cracker again:D yet, if I offer her two, one in each hand, she will only take one but look back at the other as she walks off with the one she has. She don't eat in front of you for the most part, she eats in private:)

She will eat almost anything, especially if a pig is nearby...

Sammie is such a hoot! Now she decided she don't like celery anymore so she left it for the last two feedings. (1) cut up apple, carrot, celery, 10 frosted mini wheats, 1/4 cup of pot belly pig chow, 2 dried prunes and 2 Ritz crackers. Note what is left in her dish, so no more celery I guess:D

I think the word "pig" was derived from Sammie. Note the side eye while she is drinking, she is watching to insure the heeler pup is not sneaking up on her dish of cottage cheese/strawberry yogurt:)
