Buddy,

The G56 and sledpulling is a ticking time bomb.

You might want to find a good used NV5600 or NV4500 and swap out that G56 if you are seriously going to sledpull. (sorry to intercept the question)

Man fellas i was at a pull last night and i was talkin to some of the modded class guys about the NV 5600 and was tellin them that i wanted to install the 5600 in my truck and they were like WHAT!! They told me that the diesel shop thats about 2hrs away from my house have broke numerous 5600s and that i didnt want that transmission! I was like come on guys there is alot of guys that swear buy the 5600! What gives? BUT, I did manage(I think) to find one!! Another diesel shop closer to me has two and is rebuildin them and would sell one to me, not sure how much but im gonna find out!

What shop didnt like nv5600's? Also what trucks do they pull?

Their shop name is East Coast Diesel, but i didnt talk directly to the owner, but another freind of mine who is real close to them was tellin me about them breakin NVs, but at the last pull in the town i live in is comin up hear on October 20th and they should be there so im gonna try to talk to them and see what they say! Im not sure what trucks cause their pullin truck is an auto 12v!

this is true , never heard any thing bad about Peter or Woody @ S/B great service worth the money spent and to error is only human **** happens but if you then make it right well then what can you say?

We have a member on our KYDTR board that has broken two G56's sled pulling in the last 2-3 months. I'm not sure how many pulls he had on the original trannys, but he managed to get another one and yeah it broke on the 1st pull in Terra Haute. Since then he's got a NV5600 and installed it and is pulling without problems.
