Good morning ALL

Has anyone seen the july issue of Petersens 4 wheel & off road magazine on page 68 there is a very well written article on a 01 ram cummins upgrade I found it very interesting any comments

I would love to hear

chris

Chris its funny that you mention the article because i was at wally-world and i picked up the magazine about 3 weeks ago and what caught my attention was the small print on the cover of the magazine that said Easy Diesel Power Mods. so i said cool lets read then i found "511 Rear-Wheel Horsepower for only 4,884" i was like WOW. i think it was a great article for everyone to read i liked it. also on page 34 there is another power upgrade tittled 4-inch Cummins Exhaust.

OFF ROAD ARTICLE

I lost that article, but it seams to me they put an Edge product on that truck that I did not know was available for the 01. I think it had the monitor and fueling box all in one unit like they sell for other trucks. Did anyone else pick up on this or did I read it wrong? I wish I had the copy still.

Yeah, they put on the edge Juice with an Attitude display. I haven't seen those available for our trucks yet, either.

Some highlights for those who haven't seen the article:

Diesel heads are "generally considered to be morons by the performance industry" - let's see, 450hp/950tq/18mpg and no spark plugs... yeah, I guess I'm a moron.

The bigger fuel lines and fittings will "keep the diesel cooler" - I put mine on to improve fuel pressure and keep my VP44 happy. Oh yeah, I R Moron.

And "Possibly the most impressive part of this buildup is that it's based on glorified tractor parts" - So next time you go to pass that Case/IH or John Deere and you see an EDGE sticker on his back window, you may have a race on your hands.

I kinda got the feeling that when Tom Morr (the author of the article) was assigned the story, his response was something like, "awww, do I have to?". Looks like he just took pictures of the install, wrote down a few notes, and then copied a bunch of stuff from the DD sales material. I'm guessing more time was spent on the Las Vegas strip than in the DD shop.

It's cool to see Diesel Dynamics get coverage in a mainstream mag, but Tom Morr is no G. R. Whale.

I read the arcticle and was instantly wanting the Edge Juice with attitude that was featured in the article. After searching Edge Products website and not finding it, I called their customer service. They informed me and said they were not working on a Juice with Attitude for the 98. 5-02 trucks, only for the 03 and up. I asked him about the article, and he said it was just "put together" for the arcticle and was not going to be available for sale.

Peterson + Edge = RETARDS

I like Edge products, I have been running them for years. But, why would you "throw something together" for an article about a product that doesnt exist?

I tend to blame the writer/editor at Petersons more than I do anyone from Edge.

I wrote to Edge Products and here is there reply.

Jim,

We do fully intend to make the product as featured in the article. We have not given approximate release dates yet because our engineering teams are dedicated right now to other projects. I'm sorry you did not like the article but we do not control the content or the opinions of the author/editor of the article. We pride ourselves on being leaders in "diesel performance technology" and by no means are we trying to promote the idea that diesel owners are morons. If that were the case most of the employees at Edge Products would fit into that category.

On behalf of Edge Products I can say that we truly value our customers and are very sorry that you were offended.

Regards,

Dave Martinez
