Yeah, they put on the edge Juice with an Attitude display. I haven't seen those available for our trucks yet, either.
Some highlights for those who haven't seen the article:
Diesel heads are "generally considered to be morons by the performance industry" - let's see, 450hp/950tq/18mpg and no spark plugs... yeah, I guess I'm a moron.
The bigger fuel lines and fittings will "keep the diesel cooler" - I put mine on to improve fuel pressure and keep my VP44 happy. Oh yeah, I R Moron.
And "Possibly the most impressive part of this buildup is that it's based on glorified tractor parts" - So next time you go to pass that Case/IH or John Deere and you see an EDGE sticker on his back window, you may have a race on your hands.
I kinda got the feeling that when Tom Morr (the author of the article) was assigned the story, his response was something like, "awww, do I have to?". Looks like he just took pictures of the install, wrote down a few notes, and then copied a bunch of stuff from the DD sales material. I'm guessing more time was spent on the Las Vegas strip than in the DD shop.
It's cool to see Diesel Dynamics get coverage in a mainstream mag, but Tom Morr is no G. R. Whale.
