Two cummins in one truck

where to find out what kinda diesel in a 87 international??

I've been eye balling this thread for a couple of days now and I think that some of you out there do to much A$$UMING of things

1. st off BBD Big BAD DODGE is a close friend of mine and if you think for one second that his truck was put in the mag to make mine look better your wrong(A$$UMING AGAIN)

2. At first when the article was just starting to happen there was no talk of either truck being in the Mag just some simple upgrades for both Dodges Fords and Chevys

But when I was in PalmDale at the strip they were there not a plained deal

3. They wanting to use Scotts truck with Chris Suttons mods in it( now that would be mis-leading don't you think?)

4. We have been working on furture articles for ALL MAKES of Diesels, Drag racing and Truck pulling

5. I do Not work for the Mag but have friends there I can not make decisions for them.

6. I think the thing that really get to me on this hole thing is that reading some of the threads out there on this people would think I would want to put a lower rated Horse power truck in to make mine look better, and to boot BBD is a friend of mine you guys are on crack

7. I not only own that Ford but own 2 DODGES get it

an 01 4x4 spd short box and a 02 4x4 Auto longbed

8. Jst because there was a FOrd on the cover does not mean that is was Pro Ford they have been working on that Ford for months and doing articales on it and if you look into to it a bit there is more Jeep stuff in it the anything else

9. Everytime DIesel-Central TDR or Ford-DIesel has an event I try to make sure that they know about it (May Maddness,Thunder in Munic,October Show down,Nor Cal rally etc.

10. When I here of new things like the 03 Dodge putting out 454HP on #2 a month and a half ago I let them know or when the new Hemi blew a rod at the drag strip or how the New PSD can't keep a trans together or the new D-max with the new turbo runs wicked so I really think that some of you out there need to take your blinders off and start looking around or open your world up a little I would never srew may friends like that by using them to make me look better I just thought it would be cool to get a friends truck in the mags thats all.

Briar Hopper, I'm right there with ya. Spent many an evening in the early 70's looking at the old 4-wheel mags and by the time I got my Blazer I was hooked. My lust for a set of Desert Dog tires was exceeded only by the lust excited by the newest episode of Charlie's Angels :D :D

Just about everybody I knew with a Blazer or Bronco back then kept them pretty much stock except for engine mods. Out in the sticks with stock trucks, you learned pretty quickly that the most important factors for "gettin' around" were weight and tire size, followed by driver skill. A light old Land Cruiser or Jeep wouldn't bog as much in the mud, not as much sheet metal to catch stuff in turns, etc etc etc. Got to see many a fellow who thought "My [insert brandname here] Truck is Best 4-Wheeler in the World" laid low by seemingly simple obstacles :D :D

Sometimes ya gotta wonder. We had a guy with a beatup old Torino who took that car through places we didn't think possible . . didn't even have limited slip rearend. Amazing what you can get through when you don't mind hearing that metallic "scrreeeeecchchhhh" :p
