OK,

Here is a web page that shows how get hydrgen and oxygen for your engine 50% better fuel economy is said to be observed. Has anyone done this on the DI diesel engines?

Petrol Saver

It also adds horsepower...

Can this kill our eingine?

Why ask Why ;)

Yes I read that. If you go up to his root you can see this is some dude in europe. If you can do it to a carburated engine why can't we do it to our diesels? Some guys do drugs(NO2 or Propane) with the ISB. Why not some oxygen...

Joe it sounds like a good idea, it could make up the difference between operating at high altitude and sea level. Don't see how it could hurt anything. I have to wonder if the extra power load on the alternator balances out the fuel savings though. Nothing's free when it comes to energy, usually there is a loss when changing energy from one form to another. You have to remember the vehicle manufactures have been tiring to squeeze every mpg they can out of an engine with billions of research dollars for years. Seems something like this would have come up long ago, just like magnets on your fuel line.

magnets are a different story...

The oil companies do not like anything that could upset the cart... In Europe VW has a 3 cylinder DI turbo diesel car that gets over 125 mpg. I sent email and asked when it would be in the states, they said never. :(

If the draw was too much the guy in europe would not be doing it. 5-10 AMPs is nothing. How many AMPs do our power heated seats take...

When you are dealing with 12v systems the amperage is not as bad as it sounds.

Using good ol' Ohms Law

Power = IxE (current times voltage)

10amps x 12volts = 120watts, not much more than an ordinary light bulb :)

On a home cirucut 10A x 120v = 1200w, approximately what a hairdryer uses (a lot)

"The Lupo is a Volkswagen vehicle that is produced for the European market only. At this time there are no plans to produce the vehicle and make it available for the North American market. Unfortunately we are not provided with any information pertaining to vehicles that are not for the US market. "

Water electrolysis

Water electrolysis at 8 amps will only produce 0. 6 grams H2 and 4. 8 grams O2 per HOUR. That is equivalent to 0. 004 CFM of each gas and less than a mouse farht in a hurricane. I seriously doublt the milage improvement claimed.

To get into the range of propane and NO2 injection, you'd need at least a 4000 - 20000 amp unit (2-10 CFM each gas) and a really, really good control scheme.

Remember, this is the stuff that puts our space shuttles into orbit !

The guy that did this is not trying to sell anything. He said 50%, maybe he has a 100 amp fuse? I am still intrigued to see if it helps any. I am surprised at over 500 users viewing this there has been so little discussion... I wonder if all the viewers are guests...

I have been able to hand out a few Xerox TDR subs, I hope some become TDR members...
