Guessing this is a heat strip. Going to install it.

Took a bit to get the fuel odor from it.

Def line and fill tube and vent all cleaned and flushed. Tank double Dawn flush out and wipe out.

Guess it’s time to install everything add DEF and fire it off clearing codes also.

Ron sorry to hear about this accident. Lately I have been reminding myself to not use the green nozzle, for a different reason!!!

By the way I have to go to Anncortes Monday and way swing by.

For some reason both O rings tore on the fill tube to tank. Anyone know the specs for them?

Filled a gallon with Hand pump. Only code so far is DEF low and gauge shows 1/8 tank.

Son is working with OBD now to test the DEF injector rest. Injector is hanging.

BP (AKA bad people) victim??? Some find it offensive, but it was pretty funny to me when I was working for them on April 10th when they messed up! I even remember having a "talking too" about my choice of desktop backgrounds on my company issued laptop back then...

Serious job you do, i like what I see.
The O-Rings are probably DEF proof but don't react well to Fuel. Get the OEM replacent it at least some that are rated for DEF. That stuff is pretty nasty to everything except plastic.
That's why they went away with the stainless DEF tanks long ago.

StarParts does not list them, only the two fill and vent hoses for about $100. I would try and match them up to something. I have found that hydraulic supply houses are a good source of O-rings when it isn't a size you can find at the hardware store.

Here is the color break down I could find.

That top sensor looks like the DEF Quality Sensor. It measures the concentration.

Picking up from after the pump is back in here are the listed steps.

  1. Install the DEF pump cover and tighten bolts to the proper (Torque Specifications) .
  2. (Refer to 08 - Electrical/Battery System/Standard Procedure) .
  3. Using the scan tool, verify that the DEF tank level is at least 50%.
  4. Using the scan tool, perform the DEF Reductant Doser Prime Override Test to its completion, do this two times.
  5. Start the engine and test drive the vehicle for at least 15 minutes.
  6. After the test drive, use the scan tool and check for DTCs.
  7. If there are fault codes present, perform the Diagnostic for those DTCs.
  8. If there are no DTCs, the DEF pump is properly primed.
The level sensor is UF sensor according to what I could dig up. It looks to be part of the pump. See attached PDF that describes the Level Sensor and some common issues.
