Petron Oil?

Hi,



I have a (new to me) '98. 5 stock 24 Valve, Manual Trans 2500 4x4. I've been using Petron oil for years with great luck on my gas vehicles and was wondering if anyone has any info on using their 15w-40 Diesel Oil with a cummins?

Never heard of the oil. But then I never heard of Amsoil till it came out.

I buy it from a local dealer. He had the tent next to the AMSOIL guy at a local truck show but had a better looking assistant!

I'm not advocating it for my "CUMMINS" but would like to know of others' feelings, specifically bad ones if there are any.

If it has the right C and S ratings (ie, CH/SG or something like that) then it should work great!
