I don't know if I have said this already...

I installed a regular full flow boost elbow and I can still hit 49psi with ease.

The wastegate is opening up though.

Maybe they should set them to open up a little earlier from the shop.

RE: Jims Twins

Jim I think you may need one of these turbos to set up in your twins. We are seriously looking at doing the research to make a great set of twins. I have had a couple of people make twins with Phat Shaft 62, but the super 66 with the right large charger could be right down scary.

RE: Boost Fitting

You know we set those to open at 40 psi. I'll talk to the technicians about this matter and get back to you. Mine opens at 55psi and Brady's opens at 50psi. You can turn the actuator rod a half to one turn and that may do it. Just loosen the jam nut then take off the E clip that holds it to the lever and make the adjustment. Then put the clip back on and tighten the jam nut. Have Fun!

Does the set of Twins with a 62 have any surge problems and I wonder if it would happen with a 66, the reason I ask is it seems some folks have this issue and some don't but Twins can be a little more forgiving.

RE: Twins

I think we should try a super 66 and see. If you don't like what you get we can go to 62mm turbo. I think there is a lot of great benefits.

Brett, I'm glad to see someone here with your turbo. . So far, it looks like a great product. . I know I've asked this before, though what was the correction factor on the 688hp dyno run? I'm pretty sure you said it was diesel ony. . Can't remember. . Was that with water/meth, or diesel only?

I was kinda wondering that myself...

I hope it was like 1. 01 -- and not like 1. 20 :p

RE: Dyno runs

I believe 1. 2 was correct for this elevation. Someone told me that in Denver this week at Truckfest they will be using a number a lot higher than that. I heard a number but I don't know if it's factual. I won't repeat it until I'm sure. But we will know because we will be there tomorrow. We will talk about this later. I believe that the Phat Shaft Super 66 will show well in Denver. Yes I have installed water/ meth lately. And yes it works great. I think the cooling factor is real and works great. I'm not sold on it's hp increase yet. Maybe 1 injector nozzle isn't enough for hp. increases.

Nope it sure isn't, if you would like me to elaborate I will as I know what will work on that truck and were to set everything... ... . phone call away brother!

BOTW, I run (3) 625's

Hey Jim, I say you get a super 66 on the way for your truck and just let me try it out on my 05 first ! C'mon Jim, do it for R&D sake ! I promise I will give it back. I need something NOW. I had 2 powerstrokes, 2 2nd Gens and one duramax try to pick on me today. Guess they see the dealer tag.

RE: Phat Shaft 66

Just got back from Denver. We went there to the ATS diesel Truckfest. And brought home the trophy in the quick diesel class. (13. 99-7. 50) ATS and their employees showed everyone a good time. If you have never been out that way you need to go next year. (good time) My Phat Shaft Super 66 turbo ran real well. Thanks www.industrialinjection.com

Darn Jim I got that same problem-everybody around here knows about my truck and noboby wants to play. :(

I guess I should scrape the stickers off of it so it will look like a stocker, maybe it's the "got twins" sticker that catches there eye :D

Brett, sounds like you had a heck of a time in Denver, good job there!
