I'm running 55 peaking at about 65 (that's a guess, the gauge stops at 60) with the SPS66, TST, and EZ. II says' that pressure is okay -- but it makes me nervous. I don't have studs and I haven't had any problems. yet.

Super Phat Shaft 62

We have been testing a new turbo. The Super Phat Shaft 62 has proven to be quicker spooling, better driveability at lower rpm's, no compressor surge. The overall hp is not as good as the Super Phat Shaft 66 however the Super Phat Shaft 62 incorporates all the great designs that keep drive pressures low and turbine speeds high. This is the ultimate trailer puller turbo with a lot of power to show off. Thanks

Brett do u feel that the sps 62 will work better for me? Im looking for a streetable turbo that is able to reach maybe like 550 to 600 hp? im also going to be sled pulling and alittle drag raceing? Thanks for the reply!!

I like the idea of using the sps66 and hy35 too. Sure would make a cost effective set of twins!!

 The Hy35 yes, being stock you already have that but the SPS66? Why spend that kind of money when you could get a 3B wiht a 22-23cm housing for $500? It'll spool a bit slower but with that tight stocker up top... . That is a cheap twin seup. Advantage to the SPS66 would be a dual wastegate setup

what kind of difference in spool up and temp control would a person see with a ps66 on bottom compared to the ht3b? :D

While considering which turbo to run for drag racing and sled pulling what I can say is the Super Phat Shaft 66 makes more hp. But it also depends on what your truck is. The Super Phat Shaft 64 on a second gen. is a very nice turbo. The 64 spools a little quicker to get the smoke cleared and the hp and torque climbing but it will not make as much hp as the 66. If you have a 3rd gen. I would use a Super Phat Shaft 66 for your need to compete. The 66 likes a lot of fuel but it also likes well atomized fuel. The Super Phat Shaft 62 would compete for sure and it is very driver friendly with very quick spool up. The 62mm wheel we use, shows to be capable of more pressure. However the Super Phat Shaft 66 rocks and especially with the right components. I hope this helps. Thanks, Brady

i really like my stock feel of the he 351. I can run close to 40 psi and it really feels good in the seat of the pants. With an 05 ram a/t and 4. 10 gears and 285/70r17 tires I wonder if the SPS 62 or the SPS 66 would be my fit. I love the power up but love my torque down low.
