Hey, I'd like to go to a shop to have my 97 2500 serviced. I need my A/C checked for leaks. I'm looking for recommendations from other members.

Thanks,

James

JGlass, do you think it has a leak or are you just wanting it serviced? I have a gauge. If you want you can use it and check it the next day. I am down Apache Junction, but I am all over the Phoenix area every day. Give me a holler if you want and we can meet up.

Jim so glad I have TDR I also have had a problem with my ac . Been to several shops and they refill it only to leak out again . I will be back in Apache junction on the 3rd of January Truck is a 95, Sure could use your help. Thanks Ski.

Leaks are sometimes hard to find even with an electronic detector. You will seldom have a leak at any place other than the O ring were the hoses connect to various components. If the leak is indeed hidden in the center of a coil, it can be found by putting special dye into the refrigerant charge. Any competent shop should be able to correct the problem. There should be a lot of them in your area. A tight system should run for years with less than an ounce of refrigerant loss. Annual "tune up" type service to add gas is a waste money. Get the leak fixed.

My AC has leaked out and I am looking for a "good" shop other than the dealership, Any suggestions for Ventura County,Ca. ?

Hi guys,

I also have a guage set and a vacuum pump. Don't make any claims as to expertise, but if you want to drop by give me a call.

I'm located at Brown Rd and Mesa Drive in Mesa...

Thanks John M truck is in Apache Junction and I will be flying out Sunday . We flew home for the holidays . So far I have spent $500. 00 on so called fixing leaks and it is still leaking don't trust the shops anymore. I will be calling you Thanks Ski Oo. Oo.

Hey John I am just right down the road from you. I am at Brown/Lost Dutchman and Main in Apache Junction. Skorski sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet. I just moved here and don't know a lot about the shops around here. But if I can help you out in any way just give me a shout.

P. S. Where are you storing your truck in A. J. I have about two acres here in A. J.

Hey guys, we gotta have a mini-convention! Let's find a breakfast restaurant and meet on a Saturday morning once in a while.

Travis: I am jealous of your two acres. I grew up on a farm and this 80x120 lot sure is tight. My neighbors file a claim with the city every time I pull a screw loose on something if I am six inches in front of my garage door.

Got one of those city letters in my hands right now. Reason? I bought my son's Honda Goldwing and needed to keep the trailer a few days so I parked it in the side driveway next to the gates.

And, since the guy came out to look at that, he is now telling me I can't park my own truck in the side drive because it doesn't have concrete or asphalt surface? Give me a break. It's covered with gravel and no dust ever shows it head.

Sheesh... .
