Find Out Why Oil is $130+ Per Barrel

gas, diesel in China ?

Passed by the Discount Fuel station at I-17 and 7th Ave. yesterday and price was $4. 71, today 6/3/08 and now $4. 67. A move in the right direction anyway. Hopefully it does not go up tomorrow.

I just topped off yesterday at Safeway on Litchfield and Waddell (just before Bell Rd). I paid 4. 70/gal with the 15 cents off. Sucks. I bought this truck 4 years ago when diesel was 1. 60/gal. So in 4 years the price has near tripled.

Thank God the rig is paid off and I ride my Vrod 90% of the time.

God bless,

chris

The Flying J, at I-10 & 67 Ave. is at $4. 59/9 as of this afternoon (6/3/08). Was $4. 68/9, $4. 66/9 and then $4. 63/9, just recently (past week).

The Quick Trip truck stop @ I-10 & 51 Ave. is usually competative with the "J's" pricing. Both sell LSD, also. That is ALL the QT sells. The "J" sells both.

Last night, I was surprised to find two Chevron stations along Bell Rd. near I-17 @ $4. 59/9. They are usually much higher than the "J" or QT.

Hopefully, we have seen the "peak pricing".

Today, I was watching CNBC (financial news station) & they had the CEO from the Fleur Co. They build oil drilling sites, refineries & even wind power systems through out the world. He was saying at current oil prices they are VERY profitable. The moderator asked him what LOW level of oil pricing can they still be profitable. He said they still can make a profit at $40. 00 to $60. 00 per barrel.

Tonight, I drove past the Chevron Station @ I-17 & Bell Rd. Diesel dropped 10 cents a gallon from yesterdays price. It's now at $4. 49/9. Pretty remarkable drop in pricing!!! Still has a long way to go, though. This is the cheapest that I know of, right now.

Great! Let it keep going down, looks like I have another 4000 miles coming up by the end of next week!

Phx. AZ diesel price drop

Jeez, if it gets any cheaper, I might be able to afford to drive over to the Flying J and buy enough fuel to drive home...

Sucks.

$4. 99's about the cheapest here. :{ My friend on Kona just informed me that it's $5. 13 over there. It's 3,000 miles from here. I'm thankful that it's not higher over there but it proves we're really getting hosed here. Continues to suck.

Still ~$4. 85 - $4. 90 around here, at least it has stopped going up for the moment. As crude drops we'll see what stations do the right thing and drop their prices accordingly, and which ones hang onto high prices.

A couple go-arounds ago when prices spiked then crude dropped quite a bit the prices here did NOT drop at all. I called the media and they looked into it and did a news story and sure enough the main fuel supplier in town said they'd dropped prices quite a bit for more than 2-3 weeks but stations were not passing this on to customers

I talked to one gas station owner, he said they have 6 stations nearby they survey before they set their price, they generally don't do it based on what their fuel cost is

In other words as long as we can we'll screw you!#@$%!
