It makes you wonder that as we improve parts to eliminate breakage down the line (ie- Billet shafts and such) What may break next down the line needs to be improved.



Do I see billet flexplates in our near future? :confused: (can you even do that?)

yes a billet flexplate is going back in.



the truck has only ever seen 2 trips down the 1/4 mile and only 6psi of boost launch. it has never pulled. i do not beat on it at all. i guess it was time to break :-laf

That must have made a really ugly sound! Sorry you had problems. What were you doing at the time it broke?



I have a pretty blue billet flex plate. Don't get to see it much though... :D

i was on my way home in traffic, box on 2x1 1/4 go fast peddle maybe 15 psi of boost and BANG,... ... ... it's a sound that sends shivers up your spine and say WTF was that... ... . time to call a tow truck :{

Kind of like when you blow your first boost hose off :eek: :eek: :eek: (with my new B1 a while back),i was pretty sure i had no more clean underwear to change into after that :confused: ---Oh well once i figured out what happend i felt a little better,i upgraded to some silicone ones and so far so good. PS it was so loud that my dad behind me in his 03 Hemi coming back from a hunting trip on the highway heard it go---go figure. :D :D :D

I can't believe that's all there is to one of those flexplates! Who sells billet flexplates and how much are they? I need to go thru my trans soon and by the looks of it I'm replacing mine with a billet one.

Your starting to sound like me? :) I all to well know the sounds and the breaking of parts. . That why I now have a STOCK 06 mega cad.

If one won't go, take the one that will. Hope you get it together soon.

P. s. I guess I should look into a flex plate.
 
I got it from DTT. it is stout. it is two times as thick as the stock one is. not to mention it is one solid piece.

Well, new Flexplate is here thanks to DTT..... WOW what a stout piece, i don't think i'll breaking this thing :-laf
