nice job!!!!!!!!! I always appreciate someone taking the time to fab up something they want, the way they want it. I am always getting poked for taking more time and spending more $ than what I could buy something similar, but you know its just what I want and nobody else has anything just the same, makes it my truck... . seeeya.

Yea despite all the things that we know he has done there are some things he can do right. I is proud of the boy. ;)

Hey, ya beat me to it! I am planning 1X3" flat tube. How did you attach to the truck? Go over to the frame? I was thinking of receivers so I could unplug them from the truck (like I ever would). geusterman

They attach to the front truck cab mount and on the back I did a direct boltup to the frame, in the middle there is an angle brace going up between the cab and bed that bolts to existing holes there.

Cheers, Kevin

Whitmore,

Really like the side bars... nice job. What I would REALLY like to know more about is your Rickson 19. 5" wheel upgrade.

What tire brand and series are you using?

Why did you select 285's vs. 245 or 265?

Do the 285's rub?

What suspension lift (if any?) are you using to clear the 285's?

Do you have 4. 10 or 3. 54 gearing?

Overall impressions of the 19. 5's with the 285's.

This is a mod I'm seriously considering, would like to get some data!

Thanks alot.

Lama, I selected the 285's so I could fill the wheel wells up, change my ratio, and mostly to greater my load rating which they did very well, almost double the rating from oem, these are rated at 6400 lbs! I love them and consider the addition of the 19. 5's to be my best mod yet, I run with 3:55 gears and have the 6 speed so my ratio changed about 8%, I run in 6th when empty and still have the option of 5th while towing at 65mph goves me 2200 rpm, I aint found a hill yet that will drag her down with a load in 5th gear, towed a 3600 gvw in 5th and all was well. I run the Yokohame ty303 tire, they do not rub at all and I had to do the 2. 5" leveling kit on the front, I also did the control arms too. I am pleased with th eoverall wheel set up and would do it again in a minute, they ride a touch stiffer cuz of the stiff sidewalls but not too bad, my traction in the snow and mud is much better too!!!

Cheers, Kevin
