anyone have a pic of a thermostat they could post or email me, i got one from napa (they said it was thr right one) it doesnt look like the last one i put in. i jsut want to double check b4 i say that they need to check their book again.
They dont look like the Cummins stat but work ok. I had one in my truck but after 2 failures in a year and a crappy warranty on the stat I put a Cummins stat back in, pt#3934373 for a 12 valve.
The best way I can explain the differences is that the Cummins stat looks like a "top hat" when viewed from the side. The aftermarket units tend to look like a "witches cap" when viewed from the side. The top hat style is a much better unit - more robust and doesn't need any pressure to open.
