Umm, I hate to break it to you but they ARE making a lot more sense than most of the glitzy marketing crap about turbos. Power and boost ratings on a turbo are totally useless, they just look good to the buying public and are the true bias.
Turbos do NOT care about HP or TQ, that is a function of the fueling. Turbos live an breathe, literally, around lbs\min of air, charge air density, and charge air temp. Air density percent gained will translate directly to power gained if the fuel is present, all part of the air\fuel mixture calculation. It is impossible to gauge how much becasue it is dependent on the amount of fuel present so the discussion around power really is pointless.
