Picked up a new toy today 2011 Victory

Try a Goldwing before you buy. The Goldwing is a different machine to serve a different purpose but you might be surprised how fast they are and how well they handle.

I bought a new one in January 2011 and have ridden it through every state but NV and several Canadian provinces. The odometer is showing more than 55k miles already. It is a genuine luxury car on two wheels, comfortable in all weather with good riding gear.

Harvey, my brother has a Honda Shadow 750 chain drive that has almost 40K on the clock. He rides it from Layfayette La. to Kilgore Texas and back almost every weekend... I have looked at a few Hondas... really liked the VTX1800 but as I understand it, they no longer make them. Im actually looking for something more of a bobber or cruiser... I hear the goldwings are almost like riding around on your favorite recliner. .

Well just put 150mi on it today riding with an ultra glide, Ducati and some Honda street bike, every place we stopped the Vic got complements, no one asked about the other bikes. Goldwings are fantastic bikes for wha they are, personal preference at that point but if I was riding cross country that's what I'd have, to big for the riding I do.

Wanted to revisit an old thread and see how many mile you have and if you have had any issues?

Well intresting timing as I just listed for sale yesterday. Were buying a house and moving to Oregon so the toys have to go unfourtunalty! Ive only put 4k miles on it and have had no problems, I did just have the insturment cluster replaced because the speedometer was 7mph off at 70mph but other then that it has been wounderful bike!

I put it on CL fri night right before we left for Oregon so didint have much time to do a good write up but I need to get it on MC trader, heading back home now so might try to do it tonight
