What tips do you guys have. I'm planning on leaving the truck stock. It has great power and I don't dare mess with a DPF'd truck. May be at 100K the DPF will go away but not until then. I loved my standard shift 02' & 06' but I just didn't like the lag on the 09' G56. I think the stringent emissions cause a bit of a lag when shifting. I went with the Aisin and love how much faster the truck runs off the line.

I'm planning on running my normal Schaeffer's Diesel additive. I may add an air filter and exhaust. I was never a Banks fan on the older trucks but it looks like they may have the best products for the new DPF trucks. Does anyone have any leads on the cheapest place to get Banks products?

Congratulations on your new purchase. I assume you got the C&C, which I believe is still the only way to get the Aisin auto.

What color did you get? Post pictures.

If your planning on changing out the entire air filter / air box set up you should look into the PSM cold air intake kit instead. The 6. 7's have a larger / better air box than the 5. 9's, The aftermarket kits are overpriced and over-hyped. Run a dry type filter like AEM DryFlow or an Amsoil Ea... . Stay away from oiled filters and run away from K&N!

I just realized the 68RFE is Orion not Aisin. I'm used to talking about NV5600's. My truck is a basic SXT work and get around truck. Probably not very picture worthy yet. If I can budget for some after market bumpers it will look a lot better. I guess I'll wait until my 02' sells before I redo my signature. I don't want to disrespect my older ride. I'm still trying to find it a good home!

I think that Mads is selling the 6. 7 Smarty. I am very happy with the smarty on my truck. I went with the smarty from all the good reviews here and very very little bad heard about it.

I have a Smarty on my 02' but it's traceable on the 6. 7's. Plus I just don't dare mess with that expensive DPF. If you end up with a problem truck and you void your waranty it could cost you tens of thousands of dollars. When I hit 100K a DPF delete and Smarty will be on my to-do-list.

So you can not fully return the 6. 7 to "stock" after a Smarty download? I agree with you about voiding the warranty on a new truck
