I got there at slightly after 8 a. m. - was second on the dyno. I left at about 1 p. m. , and at that time, about 6 Dodges and 5 Fords had run - I was tied for top power with a pretty fully loaded '99 Ford Power Stroke (all I have is a Comp), dunno what later results came in - hopefully, someone will chime in with the days bottom line - nice turnout, and Imler's is a CLASS act - coffee, donuts, and a nice barbeque lunch - GREAT guys to deal with in the Sacramento area!

Sacto Dyno Day

This was my first event and I really had a good time. Met some good people. Finally was able to put faces to some names. :D :D

Wish I Could Have Been There

My truck is down for the count with mech stuff. We are doubling the Nos (two stage) and rewiring the fuel/Nos systems to a control consul between the seats.

Hope to get to Sacto raceway for testing.

Gary,

Nice pictures and nice looking truck you've got there. I was planning on being there but my dad had to have surgery so I wasn't able to make it. Looks like it was a good time and hopefully I can make it to the next dyno event. You posted a while back about drilling the air box and was wondering if you noticed any improvement in air flow or temps?

Rich

Sure hope Tom Golden or someone who stayed for the day pops in here with final tally of dyno numbers - there was a contest of sorts as to top HP, best quarter mile times, etc. , sure would be interested in seeing the full and final stats to see how badly I got beat out by the end of the day...

As far as my airbox, can't really say - others claim overall temp differences are negligible - I only know that one time, with the brand new truck, Comp, and filter in a heavy pull with our 5th wheel, I pulled the filter-minder down 65% - that hasn't happend since in the same scenarios with the drilled box and K&N...

Sorry you couldn't make the event - and thanks for the kind words on my pride and joy!:D :D

Great pictures Gary. Would loved to been there but work pulled my choke chain. Hopelully next time. Working on getting the IC 706 Mk II installed in the truck, now I need to do is pass the code test to upgrade to the radio.

Well Gary, I wasn't able to make it at all. I was on my way home from my deer hunting trip with my dad that very day. Jake Scharosch, the event organizer, called me on my cell phone at about 3:30 PM to say they were wrapping things up. I was just getting into Fresno, and told Jake I wouldn't be in Sacto until at least 6:30, so I missed all the fun :-{} :{

Jake did say about 15 trucks total dynoed. Sounds like I could have been top dog if I had been there :-laf I'm guessing I'm right at 400/900 now. I didn't think to ask Jake who won the various categories, so I guess we'll have to wait for someone else to update the thread.....

How about it - one last call, anyone at the Sacramento get the final results and numbers on the dyno runs and various categories of "competition"?

dyno #,s

Sorry it took so long ,but I won top dawg & top dodge award, with 330hp & 619 lbs o torque . I know some of your tq #,s were higher & so should of been mine ,but for some reason I couldnt get it to lock up,so my readings were just from fluid coupling. With the mods I have I should be pushing 380-400hp & 750 -800 lbs tq. Have to get that checked out . Anyway it was a good day , great to see the old faces & meet new ones. A first class job by Ken & crew with a tasty lunch provided. Look forward to the next one. Ian

Treeman

How's the new property taking shape?

We should have a winter rendevous out at your place Treeman. Maybe on a day that we could move to Sac raceway for an evening of drag racing:)

Hey TreeMan! Good to see your're still on the TDR. I was going to get my rig Dynoed at Imler's last weekend but there were hardley any Rams so I chickened out, but then, I saw the Dyno numbers and I think I could have won. :)

Anyway, I need a lot of tree work done at my house, so give me an email @ >bobngae@aol.com. I'll maybe trade you my Dodge for a Ton of work :)

I'm serious!!

Winter venue

HVAC,

Had the property a year now & have made a lot of improvements ,but unfortunately they been mostly for my tenants,so I still havent built my shop yet ,but I do have loads of cleared space with gravel if that would be agreeable for a meet,& I am only 5 min form the race track .

Hopefully it wont be too long before I build my shop. I plan on putting a 4,000 sq ft shop in which will be ideal to get some tinkering done out of the weather. Meanwhile if theres any interest in meeting on an open space ,then I,m up for it ,just let me know. Ian
