Connecticut Wrenches!!! Only When?

Drag Racing, Ennis TX 11/08/02 anybody in?

The only pics I have are ones Chris sent me. They are pictures of the 1st gen with about 14 gauges across the dash.

If anyone took some at the rally, I would appreciate any you could send me. I'll get them all together on the LSTDR page.

What's that? Hook your PUMP WIRE UP??? Or some pics? It was cool finally putting a face with a name. Congrats on that Scotty II! I really enjoy having mine.

At least the ones that people sent me. ANdrew must be too busy to send me his. Either that or he's mad I called his hat ugly. :)

Thanks to Mike(MDW), John(Deezul1) and Chris(charlan) for the pics. The bonehead webmaster left his trusty digital camera at the house this year.

I'll post more as I get them.

Some of us were talking about that and kind of came up with this:

1. boost gauge

2. pyro

3. vacuum gauge

4. trans temp

5. rearend temp

6. oil temp

7. tach

8. 3 digital, don't know what they were for?

I think there was another vacuum and another pyro, if somebody can remember please add on.

Don't forget about the two-speed lever on the shifter and the circuit box. A wiring nightmare if you ask me :( . She definitely was tricked out :D .

Thanks to all of you for taking all the pics and posting them with narration, you'll got some good pics of my truck, better than the one I have, are they for the board or for your knowledge;)

Jim

for you information, it was later then 10:00am, it was about 10:15. :p

That pic says it shows Peter doing what he does best, i see no Barcadi&Coke anywhere NEAR that table!!! ;)

Andrew

Ok... . Now its revenge time!!! I knew ya caught me rubbing my nose, yeah, you just had that magic finger waiting on me to do that. . Just watch out at the next meeting... ya may have a PSD sticker on your back window or something. . :D :p j/k, I like the other contributions of "HILLBILLY 1", the name which I happened to coin up for a truck that in my eyes would be along the lines of a hillbilly's deepest, darkest, and wettest dreams!! I hope I can say that on here without getting in trouble! Oh well, I had a great time out there and hope to do it again real soon!!

-Chris-

from my pics, and best of memory, HILLBILLY 1 looked to have 3 oil temp gauges. . my guess is one for the motor oil, one for transmission oil, and one for the rear drive oil temp. it had a pyro, tach, vacuum, water temp, possibly a second pyro, and others which the camera could not get a close enough view of. . I wonder if he sits out on his back porch and plays banjo with his coonskin hat on?? :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf Sorry, Just had to add that... Next time someone gives you a funny look, like your truck smells funny, just picture yourself in HILLBILLY 1, and Imagine what they would look at you like! Just a thought to ponder!

Hey TDK,

Where are those pics of Jim's truck advertising a certain vendor? :D  :D

Ya'all are laughin at a fellow Dodge/Cummins owner here. That truck has a 6spd and 4wheel disc brakes among many other mods. Everything was done pretty nicely, no makeshift work at all. Just because it isnt what you think is cool is no reason to make fun of it. He has put a lot of work and thought in that rig to say nothing of money and it prolly suits him way better than a 500hp tire burner. I personally am somewhere in the middle between the 2 styles but can appreciate someone being innovative. Come on guys be nice.

I have the pics but won't post them, I think it would be cruel and unusual punishment. Thanks for the Blackmale Andrew:p

Jim

And the only pic of me is "Grumpy Dan"? ;)

By the way, I wasn't grumpy, I was just deep in thought, Peter was giving his clutch talk and I was busy thinking, "Why would anyone be so stuck in the 1920's as to want a standard?" :p :p

dan

can we divert this into being a transmission thread now?
