With the fewer and fewer first gens around, we decided it was time for a first gen photshoot for all attending first gens. Although two did not make it to the shoot, this is what it looked like! Yes, this is the nice front lawn of Cummins! :-laf

The truck on the right is the very first production truck? So the photos that the cummins engineers back in the day have was the very first cummins installed truck was just a mock up before production?

Correct. The brown 84 was the original mockup with non running Cummins. Then there was a few prototype mules. Then this was first off the assy line.

Is this truck privately owned or does Chrysler own it? In maybe the WPC Museum?

I wonder how many other '89's came out with that high chrome trim that goes through the mirror base. I've seen it up to '88, but not on an '89. Any idea when they put that one together?

That one was the fiorst off the line. So that would be summer 88. I believe that was available on many 89s. Now the question is if it was only 89 model year, or maybe just 88 calendar year (meaning up till Jan 1, 89). I have seen a few with it over the years.
