Pics of Fender Flares Anyone???

Just a tip, if your gonna use bushwackers or simular. Mount flare/tape around edge as close as possible/remove flare/use tape as guide to add another run of tape to protect paint/reinstall flare/remove outside tape. . Did this on my "01" with 3m electrical tape # 77 or something like that. Might have to remove flares every year or so to remove dirt/ debri and replace tape. Just dont wash the area until the tape is replaced. Dirt makes a good guide. Pinstripping tape will work if you have EXPERIANCE REMOVING IT !!, it also comes in most colors.

The xenons are 315 at summit racing.



They attatch using screws in the fender lip and 3m tape against the body.



The 3m tape is nice as I had bushwackers on my previous truck and the rubber moulding rubbed right through the paint over time.



The only downside is that it's a PITA if you need to remove the flare, or the wheel well liner for any reason.



The flares also stick out about 2. 5" from the body line (measure 3" wide from the inside edge of the stock metal fender lip. )

And no the molded mud flaps will not work with these.

I want to put flares on my rig but don't want to go with the beefier ones since I have a 4x2. I hope to upgrade to a larger tire but not bigger than 285/60/18". Does anyone have a set of Bushwhacker Street Flares (smallest size) on their truck? Even these are beefier than I like, something about halfway between these and the chrome pieces would be about right.

Fender flares...Xenon

Does anyone know where I can get Xenon flares for my '03 2500 4x4? Summit Racing only sells Bushwacker now.

part number is 8720 Just do a search for xenon dodge and they come up.

I love the xenons also. I just purchased a set off ebay for 270 plus S/H.



I was able to pull them up on summit also. Go to manufactures name and put in part #8720. Also a good deal.

I must be doing something wrong but I went to www.summitracing.com and there are no Xenon flares for 2003 RAM. Even when I enter PN 8720, search result is zilch. Whattup?

Go to manufacturers search and pull up xenon, then type in ONLY 8720 into the part number area. and search.



They come up as 2002 ram 4 door, (as in 02 1500 quad cabs) and fit 03's and 04's

Okay, I found it. Didn't know the 2002 fits '03. Thanks for that. One quick question: when you bought these flares from Summit, did you have any issues or hassles installing them on your sweet '03 RAM?

I didn't install them (winter cold and 3m tape = no sticky ) So I had a buddy with a nice warm detail shop do it, and he said the fronts were real easy, but he had to fiddle around with the backs a little bit to get the gaps for the body indent as close as he did.

That's probably a good idea (having a detail shop do it). Now I just need to make friends with someone who works at a detail or body shop!



Just bought my Xenon's from Summit Racing so thanks for getting me to the right place on their website. Excellent price. I asked a local (Las Vegas) shop if they would match Summit's price and they said no way.



Once I get the Xenon's mounted, I'll snap a few pix and post them. Again, thanks for your help!
