I have been playing with Visio at work for something else and found the templates for mechanical drawings! Its fun to kill time on stuff like this. :D

Would that srt knob fit on the stock shifter (does it have the same thread) ???

I dont think so, But I did not yank off the stock shifter yet.....

I will test it on the new one coming in tommorow

Guys whatever you end up doing PLEASE! post some pictures of your adapters. I have some idea's spinning in my head, but I need a little help getting the gears to move! ;) Oo. :-laf

:EDIT: Before somebody catch's the year model in my sig, I have a '02 Top Cover and shifter on my NV4500. ;)

"I can't wait to see the finished product! I have my stock shifter bent closer to me (about 6") but I think this would look a lot better"

My guess is your a Lil bitty feller :D . . I'm 6'7" and a slim trim 350ish and mine doesn't need to be moved, in fact the BD shift kit moved it a bit closer than I like

Tommy watching this thread with interest !

I little bitty compared to 6'7" 350ish, yes!!! :D :--)

Tomey, Looks good! When I bent my shifter closer towards me I had to weld around the top of that nut because the rubber damper inside that bulge twists when you are shifting. You may need to do that as well.

For that amount of money, I guess I need to look at the old 3-speed Hurst linkage for a Saginaw transmission (in the old Buick Skyhawk) and see if it would work on my NV4500.

Gees, just to get the name 'Hurst' on a pice of chrome!

Almost Done!!!

OK, here it is all welded together and semi-mounted on the lower trans attachment

Next is full assembly when I get a free moment

Hurst offers a variety of sticks in chromed steel and in aluminum. Check their aftermarket catalog.

Should we call our Rams "SRT 6" ? :D
