Lookin' Good!!

Looks Very Nice!! What size wheels did you go with? At first, I ordered the 17x10s, but when they came in, they were a little too wide, and rubbed against the rear part of the front fender. I could not even turn the wheels to lock on flat ground. So we took those off and ordered the 17x8s, and they work flawlessly.

Get those 315s first chance you get, you won't be dissapointed!

My wheels are also the 17X8" - yes, they do fit nicely. Im a little worried about the polished finish this winter with all the salt they dump on the roads around here...

Polished Is Better

I believe that the polish will hold up bette than Chrome, when it comes to winter. I plan on putting a nice coat of polish on before the first snow, and if for some reason they get a few nics in the finish from the salt/sand, I am not too worried. You have to remember that Polished Alluminum is a "raw" material. What I mean by that is when you get nics, you can wet sand them out, and then polish it back to look like new. I would not dare drive on chrome anywhere where a good amount of salt/sand is laid on the roads. Hope this eases your mind a bit.

jcarver,

Was curious what your offset is on the A/R Atlas wheels. I'm in the process of purchasing, but don't want the wheels to stick out too far.

Thanks,

Chris

all the trucks look great! I'm thinking of going with 33/12. 50r17 on 17x9 wheels. will this tire and wheel combo work with out a leveling kit? also what size spare tire will fit under our trucks?

I run 135/70/17 (34. 5X12. 25?) without a leveling kit. There is no body rub on my truck.

I am really curious just what is the highth at the top of your cab? Is the 2'' leveling kit just for the front end? I was actually thinking of removing the spring spacers in the rear of my 04 just to get it level. I know that this will take away axle travel but i rarely haul anything. I hate the front end sitting lower. Who makes the leveling kit and how much?

now i really am jealous.

i have had my truck for over a month and STILL have not seen it clean yet. it wasnt even clean when i picked it up.

i guess i will just look at yours!!!!!

thank you

I'm running 33/12. 50R17's on mine without a lift and no problems

nice truck!

I'm contemplating those Atlas wheels for mine, but they are going to get my 35/12. 5R17 BFG Mud terrains. I already have Skyjacker D25's in it so I shouldn't have any rubbing. As to the garage issue it wouldn't fit within a month of owning it(stacks)l:rolleyes: . Thanks for showing me how they will look on a red truck, that makes my decision easier. :D . Now, just to convince the wife that I need them.

If itwas any higher it would look like some of the fords running around with the 6" lifts and the little 35's. Looks good don't do anything else.

OneBucsFan,

How's it drive with the spacers - any rougher? Also any wobble

Seems that some go with the D25 springs and some with spacers.

Any difference?

Hi all,

I am a newbie as you say. I have an '05 4WD LWB 4dr SLT on order. I can't wait to get it. And as soon as I do, I want to get rid of the dinky tires that come with the truck. I am curious if it is necessary to lift the front end. My father-in-law lifted the front of his new chevy duramax by tightening the torsion bolts. Has anyone done this to level there Ram? I am considering 315s or 285s, what size would you recommend. I do not plan on towing anytime soon.

Thanks,

Pete

I didn't notice much difference in the ride, it may have stiffened up some, but with the larger sidewall of the 315s, I think it evens it out pretty well.

John

I know someone else asked this, but have you tried to fit it in the garage?

I'd like to do the same, but would still like to fit it in the garage.

Did it fit stock, with only the 315's also?

~Thanks

OneBucsFan that's one good looking truck! Your truck reminds me of my 99. The old girl even has the same wheels as your truck.
