I got some pics of my truck with the Dick Cepek Long Arm kit and 35in super swampers on Eagle rims. Cab work will get finished this winter along with a paint job. Its been a long project but the end is in sight.

Did you start with a regular cab or club cab? Where did you get the doors? I have been considering the same mod for some time, any info you could provide would be much appreciated. ;)

I am curious about the doors as well. I have seen some crew cab conversions that had goofy looking doors. Those look great. I would love to see some pictures of the inside of the doors.

The truck was a quad cab. I cut the quad cab part off and sectioned in the back of a reg. cab. The frame i stretched 16 inches. Idealy you would want to start with a extended cab truck that way you wouldnt have to mess around with resealing the front door. The doors i made myself. They are front quad cab doors that are cut down. It was a lot of trial and error. They open and close good but i am going to redo the doors this winter and make a jig so in the future if i wanted to make more it wouldnt be a big deal. I made the mistake of making a door and figured i would have glass made for it. Way to much $$$$ for custom glass. So i am going redo the door to fit a window out of somthing else. I have a lot of pics of it in diffrent stages in my reader rig.

Man, If you make a jig for those doors, count me in for a set. I was just talking to my brother about stretching my truck. He was a body man for years before he got into the Pipefitters.

Your truck is going to be sweet when your done.

If I do mine I would still want a bench seat in back, only the bench would lay out flat for a bed, for when we go camping. It would be nice to have a place to get some zzz's when my wife drives.

Greeds,

That is awesome!

On the glass, I think my rears were done with factory size 1st gen 4 door rear glass (like the 1984 style). The size works well and fits in the 2nd gen style doors. That way you could avoid custom sizes.

MBowser,

I'm redoing my headliner now. there is a backer on the whole roof, but there was an additional 1/2" piece of foam bonded to both backer boards to hide the seam. I hope to have my headliner done this week.

Greeds and OIL burner, those are some awesome trucks. Kinda makes me wish I had stretched a Dodge, instead of starting my F350 conversion-Nicholas

Greeds, looks awesome! Sorry I havent kept in touch, I know I said I wanted to come up and take a look, but have been pretty busy, and working out of town. If you dont mind, I would love to come up and take a look some time soon. What to start on mine when your done with yours? :-laf I really want to do this, but cant justify spending 15k at one of the stretching shops.

For the windows i am looking at using ones out of a mid 90s suburban. As for the headliner i havnt thougth that far ahead. The rims are 16x10, 35 x12. 5 up front and 16x6 35x10. 5 on the back. The duals are spaced 1/2in apart.

See ya Jim.

Very nice work! After I finish building my 12 valve quadcab Im planning on getting started on the next project and what you did is what I have in mind for myself only on a 2500 chassis.
