Can someone post pics of the Roadmasters Active Suspension installed. Do they act as a overload spring when they are installed or can you put in the overloads too?

Replaces Overload

SixShooter,

The Road Master Replaces the overload springs, I will try to get some photo's tomorrow morning and post them for you. I have been very satisfied with the set I have had on for the last year. I do not tow a great deal but do have a 5er we use on weekends that weighs in at about 11k. With the RoadMaster and a quality shock replacement the ride on my truck has improved significantly. That improvement is just a seat of the pants improvement. :)

I'm interested in lowering my ride height. If I remove the overload, does the Roadmaster allow the truck to lose an inch or so of height. I am now looking at getting the big spacer blocks shaved, but would be interested in the Roadmaster if it will do this instead. I need to get my rear end down to allow my goose neck to sit level.

I have the Roadmaster setup. I drive right by your workplace three times a week. Call me if you want to see it.

outch  , you hurt my neck... . had to turn it completely sideways to look at the posted picture. Could you please turn it a little :D .

Frank

In case anyone is wondering, the Roadmasters are meant to enhance ride and handling, not weight carrying capacity. They eliminated almost all of my "freeway slap" and helped handling in general.

Depending on how I have my gooseneck flatbed loaded, I sometimes get a bad case of "throttle oscillation". The Roadmasters neither enhanced or decreased this.

Darn: I almost broke my monitor. Had to turn it on it's side to see that.

The system helps the leaf springs hold their original shape. After I installed them I started to have a problem that I thought they contributed to. Hopping in different gears. After removing them I found it to be the injector pump. Fixed that and re-installed the RoadMaster unit and love it. I tow 14,000 lbs and almost sit level. It seems to be a little easier on the trailer that the stock overloads. They do need a quailty shock to work right.

One thing you have to learn is the adjustment for your needs. I tow a little heavy, so had to get more adj. from the rear, more so from the front. When you see them you'll know what I saying.

Good luck with them.

So... how much does this setup cost? Can it be used with airbags? I did some searching for a site and the only one I found mentioned that helper springs had to be removed, but I'm wondering about airbags.

This could be a worthy alternative to getting a full air-ride suspension ($2k).

I've had Roadmasters and air bags (no overloads) for over a year. Good combo imo. I run the bags @ 5lbs with no load in the bed.

See this thread. JohnMcIntyre posted a nice picture of his setup. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4805&highlight=Roadmasters

One more thought on this.

There was a group purchase on these about 15 months ago or so. Carl? That's when I bought mine. Maybe if enough members jump in here you can get another one started.

UNDER $250.00

When I got mine last year I paid just under $250. 00 for the Road Master XX. A very worth while investment IMHO.

I was lucky to get the picture to show up and now you want me to rotate it too :D

I am interested in the setup with the airbags and the roadmaster. I wonder if any one has any ore info these two together, can you run some air horns from the tank of the airbags? That would be perfect for anything. The airbags, roadmaster, tank and air compressor. How do you adjust the height of the air bags?
