Well, I just got back home from Nowel's memorial service. His sister was there, as were many of his friends from the diesel clubs - Ford, Dodge and Chevy alike. Nowel drove Cummins trucks, but if a truck burned #2, you were his friend.
I have always felt the best thing any of us can achieve in life is to have a positive impact on the lives of others we meet along our way. As can be seen by the countless replies to the various threads here, and at so many other sites and web pages, few of us could ever imagine having the impact on as many lives as Nowel had. We achieve true immortality by being remembered by those who follow after us, and Nowel surely shall therefore outlive many of the rest of us in that regard.
I didn't get many pictures myself, but here are a few. We had Piers from Canada, Richard (MADDOG) came over from Utah, and a host of other folks from northern California.
We started the day by several of us getting hopelessly stuck in the deep and nasty mud around Nowels house. Thankfully, one guy did have a winch on his truck. So, it is with a head hung in mock shame that I post the following pictures of Bill (Kickin Y2K) winching my truck out of a deep hole with his *cough* Ford Powerstroke *cough*
Thanks again Bill, Diesel Gunner and I owe you, my friend.

Here, Bill is getting his truck into position to get a good line on our trucks...
