Whose truck is in the picture that has all the chrome under the hood? I need to talk to him!:)

Nice pictures. Looks like it was well organized.

Office staff

I may have to drive up there to meet the staff. :--)

Looks like a good time was had by all.

Was that chrome or carbon fiber under that pretty hood?

The cover on the heater hoses is different.

Ok, guys. That's my engine in those pics and I have something to say.

it's POLISHED, not chrome! Anyone can pay someone a bunch of money to make stuff look pretty. I pulled off each part and polished it. (I got a new polisher for christmas) And I'm not done yet. I'm always looking for stuff to pull and do. next I plan on getting a powder coating kit from the eastwood co. so I can clear coat powder coat instead of using clear paint.

It's a lot of fun if you keep it simple. A part or two at a time.

Thank you to all of you that said it looks nice. It makes it worth it when someone says it looks good.

BushWakr,

Just to clarify I didn't take the pictures. I was to busy talking, watching, killing the KDP in my truck and eating turkey. :D

Oh, I forgot to mention the Valve cover top and coolant line covers. I had them machined out of billet aluminum. This is one thing I do not have a machine for. The guy that did it is supposed to have some more done up so I can bring them to a get together to show what he can do.

They sure are better looking than that ugly stock one.

Dave, it really looks good under that hood!Oo.

What about the exhaust manifold and turbo housing - are those polished or coated?

Stan

Stan, well I guess you got me on that one. That fine finnish you see on the turbo and manifold is none other than Super duper, high falootin', double throw down high heat header paint.

To make it stick and not bubble all you do is glass bead it first and then heat it with a torch just before you paint it. seems to hold up well.
